About our leader
Pastor James Lewis Holland was born in March of 1952 in Memphis Tennessee to the late Annie Lee Borum and Walter Lee Holland SR. Pastor Holland migrated to Far Rockaway ,NY in 1963 at the age of 11 years old.
Pastor Holland attended the Bethel Church of God in Christ in Far Rockaway under the leadership of the late Pastor C.H. Jones. In August 1975 Pastor Holland married the love of his life Lady Dovie Jean Holland. Together Pastor Holland and Lady Holland have 3 children Julian, James and Joshua.
In 1982 Pastor Holland accepted his call to ministry and was licensed as a minister by Pastor Jones. Pastor Holland faithfully served Pastor Jones for many years. In 1985 Pastor Holland was ordained an Elder under the leadership of Bishop F.D. Washington of Washington Temple Church of God in Christ. Pastor Holland continued to faithfully serve his leader Pastor C.H. Jones.
In 1994 Pastor Holland was called to Pastor his own ministry. With blessings from his pastor and his bishop, Pastor Holland founded the Far Rockaway Cathedral Church of God in Christ. in James 5:16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Pastor Holland is passionate concerning the purposes of God, and he relentlessly pursues opportunities to fulfil God’s will. Pastor Holland actively serves as the Pastor of Far Rockaway Cathedral and continues to let God use him to lead his people.
The bible says in Psalms 37:23 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: And he delighted in his way.”
